Peer-reviewed Equine Sports Medicine Publications

  • Stevie has co-authored a number of peer-reviewed equine sports medicine publications (scan codes below). These studies collaborate with multinational veterinary specialists and universities in Belgium, Australia, Canada and the United States.
  • The training data used for these research studies was generated and managed by Stevie using wearable Biometric monitoring devices applied daily to Thoroughbred racehorses in training (swimming &/or galloping) under his care as part of his work in Hong Kong.
  • The research findings are being presented both nationally and internationally at veterinary and equine industry conferences.

Research interests include using wearable technologies in elite athletes for:

  • Cardiac monitoring (including exercising ECG interpretation & cardiac arrhythmia investigation),
  • Performance analysis including biometric monitoring, fitness assessment and equine performance analysis.
